Paradise Stockholm

It started in 2006, when I moved back to Stockholm. I saw then for the first time the Birka Cruises’ Paradise, a cruise ship that never docks and where it is parties and sunshine around the clock. Like a floating symbol for Sweden, often seen as a model country for the world, or perhaps an illusion. All the pictures were taken in situations that took place in front of me. It’s about the enigma of life and my wondering about where we are all going. Paradise Stockholm is “un elogio alla poesia del reale”, a tribute to the poetry of realism. / Joakim Kocjancic
